West Africa. 1811. Britain has abolished slavery, yet the barbaric trafficking of Africans continues. Incensed by this, the British government, once the driving force behind slavery, turns from poacher to gamekeeper when it forms The African Squadron, a small fleet of ships tasked with capturing the traders and freeing their captives. Upon HMS Virtuous sails Midshipmen William Bound, a son of a former slaver, and his good friend Midshipman Sani Bello, once a captured slave, now helping to free those chained. Can they survive the hardships of life onboard and the treacherous seas, to stop the heinous slave trade?
