Then, the 11+ CREATIVE WRITING BOOTCAMP is for you!
In the school holidays, as a small online group, we will tackle a variety of writing prompts. In these sessions, we will work together, sharing, appreciating and polishing each other's ideas, to create imaginative and well-written texts which will really impress the reader. We will cover all writing genres and often will tackle a topical theme such as Halloween in October and Fireworks in November. There will be 4 lessons (usually consecutive) in most weeks of the school holidays.
Across the sessions, we will work on the following aspects of writing:
- purposeful planning
- original and creative ideas
- engaging openings
- foreshadowing
- tension techniques
- grammar consistency
- powerful punctuation
- strong endings
- paragraphing
- sentence variety
- cohesion and structure
Why can group sessions be better than one-to-one sessions:
